Community
The Green Valley and Tubac firefighters work throughout the year in support of the following community service projects
- The Muscular Dystrophy Association’s Annual Drive (MDA)
- The Tucson Firefighter’s Annual Chili Cookoff
- Green Valley Fire District’s Adopt-A-Family program
- The Tubac Firefighter’s Annual Golf Tournament
- The GVFD Halloween Safehouse
- The Fire and Ice Police/Fire Triathlon
In addition to these activities,
our members can be found helping their communities in many other ways, big and small. This is the commitment we live by in our mission statement: To maintain a fellowship based upon shared values and goals between our organizations, to be stewards entrusted with the care and protection of the communities we serve and the people who live there, and to build partnerships with others who share this same vision.
